This question might seem silly to most of you for it has a common and obvious answer – ‘We eat’. Well, to eat your food is not the only purpose behind the lunch breaks that your employer gives to you. When asked to all the successful people about what do they do during their lunch hour, they mentioned a lot more things, which no doubt make them productive too. Here are the top three things, which most of the successful people believe to be effective and can be done during those 60 minutes of lunch break.
Spending time with colleagues
Along with munching your favorites during lunch hours, take some time out to interact with your colleagues. Every coworker possesses certain skill, talent and has a particular knowledge that can help you climb the ladder of success. Also you must plan for team lunches to have an informal interaction and build connections with your coworkers. You never know, out of such unofficial outings you can build bonding and find a great friend too.
A workout break
Even a 5 year old child knows that exercise improves health. Doing regular exercise can help manage weight and maintain healthy heart, lungs, and other body systems. But, there will be only 5% of you who would know that doing regular exercise can enhance productivity too. There have been numerous researches which prove that doing regular exercises make people happier, smarter, and even energetic. If you do exercise regularly you would simply be blessed with a sharper mind. To get these benefits of sharper mind and happy life, you do not have to sweat a storm, a good walk after lunch or few desk stretches can help you enhance your productivity.
Take A Nap:
Research says giving brain a downtime helps in increasing productivity. Research also says that a 10 minute nap in mid to late morning or early afternoon provides immediate improvements in focus & productivity. It is alright if there isn’t a common room with comfy couches to relax in your office, you can just put a head down and relax at your work station or you can step in your car for a quick nap.
