Oration is not a gift that comes easy to all. And an oration that is enriched, enlightening and captivating is certainly something that I would root for. Since we are talking of talking talks why not talk about the talk that has become a talk with the world. What? Did you not follow my talk?
For Starters, TED is a nonprofit organization and the name of the platform that serves talks and conferences in a captivating manner on an assortment of topics be it ideas, life, technology, business that is to say anything and everything that too globally.
TED refers to the unison of Technology, Education and Design focused towards facilitating “Ideas worth Sharing” through a magical connection between the speaker and the audience.
A TED conference can have two main modes-
- The TED itself, in which the parent organizations calls in best speakers from around the world in diverse disciplines to talk on their topics of specialization.
- TEDx – If you want to host TED like conferences in your own school/company/hometown/anywhere with some of your social peers and interested people, you can do so under the TED Banner and the event, no matter how small, will be listed on the global website, like a community talk or meet up ( quite famous in tech circles).
Coming back to the first type, topics in a TED-talk can be anything from new product launches to presidential campaign, Karma to Yoga, Futuristic Ideas to life lessons, education and the list is simply unending.
